One program, end to end
Cameras, media, Scripture, captions, sound and every output live in the same app, so nothing has to pass through vMix or an NDI round trip on the way to air.
TEC Bible is now TEC OS. Upgrading keeps your settings, Bible packs and license. How the upgrade works
TEC OS switches cameras and media, puts Scripture, captions and lower thirds over the picture, mixes the sound, and sends the program to your stream, recording, NDI and projector. One native Windows app, with no vMix and no NDI round trip in between.
The production screen
Preview, in green, is what goes on air next. Program, in red, is on air. Between them sit CUT, AUTO, fade to black and four overlay channels, and every input below is a live card with a tally edge.

Why TEC OS
Cameras, media, Scripture, captions, sound and every output live in the same app, so nothing has to pass through vMix or an NDI round trip on the way to air.
Only the Windows SDK: Direct3D 11 and Direct2D for the picture, WASAPI for sound, Media Foundation for capture and encoding. Pictures stay on the graphics card all the way to the monitors.
Present Scripture, switch inputs and record with no connection at all. Streaming needs one, and live captions can fall back to an offline model on the PC.
Try it
This works like the operator window. Click an input to put it in preview, then CUT or AUTO it to program, switch the overlays on and off, or fade to black. In TEC OS the same moves are on F6, F7, F8 and Ctrl+1 to 4.

PROGRAM Camera 1
Camera 1 is on program. Camera 2 is in preview.
What it does
Cameras and capture cards, NDI senders, video and audio files, images with transparency, microphones and system audio, name straps, colours, and the Scripture, caption and insight pictures TEC OS makes itself. Click to preview, double-click to take, 1 to 4 for an overlay.
The full TEC Bible operator: search, live results, Take Live and Blank, verse stepping and history. A take goes straight onto the program. The King James Version comes installed.
Live transcription with ElevenLabs Scribe, or an offline Whisper model on the PC. Captions and the insights you push reach the program through their own overlays.
Send to TEC Global Live, YouTube and Facebook at once, or to any RTMP or RTMPS server. A dropped stream reconnects by itself after 1, 2, 4, 8 and 15 seconds and resumes at the next keyframe. Stream keys are stored encrypted for the Windows account.
Record the program to MP4 with H.264 and AAC, send it over NDI as TEC OS Program, and put it full screen on the projector. The projector can show one input instead, such as the Scripture Slide for the room while the stream carries the cameras.
Every input with sound has a fader over its meter and a mute. Videos, cameras and NDI sources are heard while they are on air and fade with the picture; microphones stay in the mix. The master strip sets the program level.
The remote page on the church network has preview and program with tally, CUT, AUTO, fade to black, the overlays, and record and stream with a confirmation. Each tap names the state it wants, so a double tap never flips anything back.
TEC OS installs over TEC Bible in place. Settings, Bible packs, the show and the license stay where they are, and the Scripture NDI sources keep their names, so existing vMix inputs keep working.
How it works
The video engine and the audio mixer run on their own real-time threads, paced by one clock. No input can stall the program, and the operator window never waits on either.
Direct2D on Direct3D 11. Each input thread hands over its latest frame; the engine draws transitions, four overlays and fade to black.
48 kHz in 10 ms blocks, with faders, sound that follows the program, and meters.
Pictures reach the monitors and the projector without leaving the graphics card. Only the program is read back, one frame pipelined, for the encoders and NDI.
Measured, not promised
Measured on the development PC: Intel Core i5-8365U with Intel UHD 620 graphics, using Quick Sync for the encode.
For the operator
The moves you make every service have a key, and the floating Remote Console follows you into any application.
| F6 F7 F8 | Cut, auto fade, fade to black |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+1 to 4 | Overlay 1 to 4 on and off |
| Enter | Take the Scripture live |
| Esc or F12 | Hide the Scripture everywhere |
| Ctrl+← → | Step to the previous or next verse |
| F9 | Live transcription on and off |
| Ctrl+Shift+B | Bring up the Remote Console from any application |
Requirements
64-bit, with Media Foundation. The "N" editions need Microsoft's free Media Feature Pack.
Intel UHD 620 or better. Without one TEC OS still runs on the software renderer, more slowly.
Intel Quick Sync, NVIDIA NVENC or AMD AMF is used automatically when present; otherwise the Windows software encoder handles one 1080p30 encode.
Recommended for the projector. For NDI, a wired gigabit network; the NDI runtime ships with TEC OS.
Activation
TEC OS is provided to churches by Empowerment Church Global. A key is bound to one PC and checked on that PC, so the app never needs to phone home.
On a PC without a license, the Activate TEC OS window shows its machine code, like TEC-1A2B-3C4D-5E6F-7A8B.
Enter the machine code with your church and contact details. You get a private link to follow the request.
Once an administrator approves it, the key appears on your link. Paste it into the activation window and choose Activate.
Questions
No. TEC OS switches, layers, mixes and streams the service itself. If you still run vMix for something else, the Scripture NDI sources keep their TEC Bible names, so its inputs keep working.
Not to present Scripture, switch inputs or record. Streaming needs a connection, and live transcription uses ElevenLabs over the internet unless you set up the offline Whisper model.
Run the TEC OS installer on the same PC; there is no need to uninstall first. The program stays in the same folder, and the settings, Bible packs, show and license are kept. The shortcuts are renamed TEC OS.
The King James Version is installed with the app. Other translations your church is licensed to use can be imported from File, Import Bible.
Each key is bound to one PC's machine code and is valid for a week, 30 days or a year. TEC OS checks the key on the PC itself, so it keeps working offline until the key's end date.
To the folder you choose. With none set, to Videos\TEC OS, or to a TEC OS Recordings folder on the drive with the most room when the Videos drive is short of space. Uninstalling never removes recordings.
Yes. The remote page works on the church network with a private token, and has both the Bible controls and a Production section for preview, program, overlays, record and stream.
Activate TEC OS on your production PC and run the whole service from one screen.
